Posted on September 27, 2018 @ 10:12 pm

Following the Westminster Chimes Helen Darsie leads the congregation in prayer and then reads the scripture lesson: Romans 14:1-10.

After the Bible reading the congregation sings: Lord I Lift Your Name on High accompanied by the Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums and Twining Campbell – bass guitar).

Dr. Deborah Owens is the featured speaker for Moment for Westinster this month.  Deborah was a delegate to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) that gathered in St. Louis, Missouri last June.

Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell leads the Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer

The congregation sings: Refiner’s Fire with an opening solo by Terry Flach and again accompanied by the Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums and Twining Campbell – bass guitar).

Rev. Dr. Twining Campbellpresents the sermon about Paul’s changing appreciation for diets and the celebration of special day.  Paul advocates that we are not supposed to be judging others and/or trying to convince others to think like us.  Instead, as we are all trying to honor Jesus, we should accept and celebrate with each other.

The service concludes with the Benediction and Postlude: Postlude from Glagolithic Mass composed by Leos Janaček and played by Dr. Imre Szilas.
