May 12, 2019 Mothers’ Day – Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell

Following the Westminster Chimes the congregation joins in singing the third stanza of Jesus Christ Is Risen Today.

The Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell asks the congregation to join in praying the Prayer of Illumination, reads the Scripture lesson: Romans 16:1-16 and begins┬áthe sermon based on Paul’s statement in v. 13: “Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord; and greet his mother – a mother to me also.”

Terry Flach sings the solo from More Love, More Power and then the choir and congregation join accompanied by Dr. Imre Szilas.

The Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell leads the congregation in the Prayers of the People followed by Pastor Twine leading the Lord’s Prayer and then giving the charge and Benediction.

The service concludes with Dr. Imre Szilas playing the postlude: Fugue in D minor by J.S. Bach.
