This week at Westminster Online the service begins with Pastor Twining Campbell welcoming everyone to worship followed by Imre Szilas playing the Prelude: “Organic Introit Hymn,” which leads into the Westminster Chimes.
All people are encouraged to join in singing, in their homes, the introit: stanza 4 of O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee.
Pastor Martha Campbell shares the announcements and prayer concerns then leads the community in prayer and the Lord’s Prayer.
Following a brief musical interlude, Pastor Martha Campbell asks us to say the Affirmation of Faith – The Church Has Left the Building – in unison.
The Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums, Twining Campbell – bass guitar) offers the Anthem: “Song for My Father” by Horace Silver.
Pastor Twining Campbell leads the Westminster Community in the Prayer for Illumination, reads the Scripture lesson: Hebrews 10:22-25, then presents the morning message based on the threefold exhortation in the lesson. The first is: “Let us approach… with full assurance of faith…” The second is: “…hold fast to the confession of our hope…” The last is: “prod each other to love and good deeds… encouraging one another…” Those three exhortations can change your life: Be assured in faith; Hold fast the confession of hope; Encourage one another”
Pastor Twining thanks the community and offers the Charge and Benediction. Then the service concludes with Imre Szilas playing the Postlude: “Toccata” by Eugene Gigout on the Westminster pipe organ.
We are very grateful to Robert Smith who filmed our service today which is also available on our Facebook page and YouTube channel: (Westminster Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, CA) Please watch to the very end as Imre plays to see the new pictures of our windows that are staggeringly beautiful.
