The service this week at Westminster begins with Pastor Twining Campbell welcoming everyone to Westminster Online and gives the Call to Worship from the Abbey of Iona.
Dr. Imre Szilas plays the “Prelude” by Cesar Franck followed by the Westminster Chimes the accompanies the Congregational Introit, “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less.”
Pastor Martha Campbell shares the Prayer concerns then leads us in the Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer. Following a musical interlude Martha asks to join the community Affirmation: The Church Has Left the Building.
The Anthem: “Alelujah” was written by Dr. Imre Szilas and is played by the Westminster Trio – Bowie Bossendorfer – drums, Imre Szilas – piano, and Twining Campbell – bass.
Dr. Deborah Owens leads the community in the Prayer of Illumination and reads the scripture lesson: Hebrews 6:9-11.
Pastor Twining Campbell presents the message for the day on the understanding biblical hope and how it has a confident expectation the what we desire will be done.
Following the Charge and Benediction the service concludes with the Postlude: “March in C” by Henry Smart played by Imre Szilas on the Westminster pipe organ.
