January 13, 2018 – The First Sunday of Epiphany – Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell
Following the Westminster chimes the congregation joins in singing Eternal Light Shine In My Heart.
Norm Haynes leads us in the Prayer of Illumination and then reads the scripture lesson: Luke 3:15-17, 21-22.
The congregation joins in singing 10,000 Reasons that begins with a solo by Terry Flach and is accompanied by the Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums, and Twining Campbell – bass guitar).
Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell and the congregation pray the Lord’s Prayer.
The Choir sings the anthem: The Gift of Love accompanied by the Trio.
Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell delivers the sermon based on Jesus’ baptism and concludes with the charge and Benediction.
The service concludes with Dr. Imre Szilas playing the Postlude: Fugue in D minor by Felix Mendelssohn.
