Posted on December 31, 2018 @ 9:08 pm

The service begins with the congregation singing Angels from the Realms of Glory accompanied by Dr. Imre Szilas – organist, and Zak Graff – trumpet.

Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell reads the accounts of the Angel Gabriel going to Mary (Luke 1:26-38) and Joseph (Matthew 1:18-25).  Then the congregation joins in singing, Come Thou Long Expected Jesus.

The story of the birth of Christ (Luke 2:1-20) is read by Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell who then leads the litany for the lighting of the Christ Candle and delivers the message for Christmas.

As the Congregation moves to the front middle and sides of the church we sing carols, concluding with Silent Night, Holy Night.

The bell tolls the birth of Christ.

Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell leads us in a Prayer f0r Christmas and the people respond by singing Joy to the World!

The service closed with Dr. Imre Szilas and Zak Graff playing The Sussex Carol (Once in Royal David’s City).
