May 7, 2017 Entrusted
This week, and throughout the month of May, we begin our Stewardship Campaign with our sermon series Entrusted. Sharleen Piereson read the Parable of the Talents from Matthew 25:14-30 andRev. Dr. Martha Campbell leads us in the Lord’s Prayer.
In the sermon, by Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell, we considered how parables work and how this parable applies to our lives today.
Dr. Imre Szilas closed the service with Prelude and Fugue in G minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
One aspect of our sermons this month is to include reflection questions that we should consider each day – because we’ll come up with more/different answers.
- What are the gifts that have been entrusted to you?
- Are you being poured out the way God has called on you to be poured out?
- Are you intentionally creating space to pour out to others?
- Is there an emptiness in your heart? Could be God is calling you to a new level. Pray about this, listen to voice of God and just start trying things. Seek and you will find; he will lead you.
