May 14, 2017 Entrusted Time: Spend It Well
Our Mothers’ Day worship included our children singing the hymn medley. Riley Paddock sings the solo in both songs and is joined by Rain Bossendorfer and Fletcher Paddock. The children are accompanied by Dr. Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums, and Twining Campbell – bass.
The sermon is the second in our Stewardship Campaign: ENTRUSTED. Using Moses’ experience in the desert and the advice of his father-in-law, Jethro, Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell helps us to reflect on our use of time. Martha included reflection questions to help us become better stewards of our time.
- How do you experience time? Is it a gift or a burden?
- Do a self-audit of how you spend your time. You have eight hours for sleep and eight hours for work. How do you spend the other eight hours?
- Where do you need to relieve tension in your life caused by how you spend your time?
- How can you better plan for interruptions? Where do you need more margin your life (the space between your load and your limit?
Norm Haynes reflected on how he and his family have been Entrusted with Stewardship here at Westminster.
Closing the service, Dr. Imre Szilas played Festal Song by John West.
