July 1, 2018 Come to Your Senses – Smell
Following the Westminster Chimes the congregation sings Trust and Obey accompanied by the Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums and Twining Campbell – bass guitar).
Julie Haynes leads the congregation in prayer and then reads the scripture lesson: Matthew 26:6-13.
In celebrating Independence Day the congregation joins in singing The Battle Hymn of the Republic – accompanied by the Trio.
Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell and Twining Campbell lead in the commissioning of youth going to camp: Bowie Bossendorfer, Fletcher Paddock, Rain Bossendorfer (in absentia) and Riley Paddock.
Martha Campbell then leads the congregation in the Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer.
The Trio plays Hoe Down by Aaron Copeland as adapted by Imre Szilas.
Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell presents the sermon with memories of his pastor, Dr. John T. Galloway Sr..
The service concludes with the Benediction and Postlude: Finale – from the 1812 Overture composed by P.I Tchaikovsky and played by Dr. Imre Szilas.
